When VW had a huge sludging problem, and BG stepped up to the plate. Nearly two years of engineering and testing and VW has a high quality solution, saving customers and VW millions.

Servicing you vehicle with BG products is part of our mission to give premium service and extend the life of your vehicle to the maximum. We can address all the fluids and services on nearly any vehicle with one line of product.

BG the company

Synthetic usually means fake, and cheap. Not as good as the real thing, right? Not when it comes to Transmission fluid. Most cars are automatics now. The fluid does a lot of work and takes a lot of abuse. Traditional ATF is made just like engine oil, refined down and additives installed.  Synthetic fluid goes through an extra process that changes the molecules slightly giving them different properties. The best synthetics change nearly all of the molecules over. Lesser ones don't, and are sometimes called blends, or given fancy names.  That's what sets BG apart, it is a full Synthetic, able to flow and take heat like no other. Given the cost of Transmission repairs now, a good fluid is worth it's weight in Gold (that's a lot).

The Test
This test is brutal and basically destroys the transmission.

Brand A, up to about I are standard fluid, Brand O is  a semi-synthetic. As you can see, all but Three don't make 100 minutes.  BG does almost 900 minutes. No contest!

General Recommendations

Each manufacturer has compiled a list of recommended service intervals. For details, just look in your owner's manual. Each make and model has different recommendations, Master Tech can print any service schedule for you but it is best to get a look at the vehicle first hand. We also want to see the vehicle firsthand and make sure things are on the p and up. Seeing is believing. We can also look up TSB's, and recommend updates that have become important for your vehicle. In any case, here are some general guidelines:

Oil/filter change and safety inspections are recommended every 3,000 miles. ( Some up to 6-9K )
Minor service is recommended every 15,000 miles. At a minimum, this consists of an oil/filter change, a safety check and fluid check. On any car over 30,000 miles a brake inspection should be done as well.

Major service is recommended every 30,000 miles. This can include changing the oil/filter, spark plugs, gear oil or transmission fluid, air and fuel filter, cabin air filter, flushing some or all fluids and adjusting valves (unless hydraulic). A good brake inspection is in order.

Listed below are a few other benefits to keeping your car serviced at scheduled at scheduled intervals:

A regularly serviced vehicle will last 200,000, 300,000 and possibly 400,000 miles.

A misfire can cause up to 50% less fuel mileage and a major increase in harmful emissions.

Improper tire inflation wears tires faster and wastes fuel because the engine has to labor harder to move the vehicle.

Improper tire alignment can wear out your tires more quickly.

On some vehicles dirty injectors can fail and cause considerable expense as early as 45-60,000 miles.

Fluid services should be considered if the service cost is well below the cost of replacing parts. If a power steering Rack and Pinion is $1200 and the service is only $110.00 it pays to do it on time.

The more timely vehicle servicing you do, the more money you save in the long run. The longer you wait until you service, the harder your car has to work. Cars suffer carbon build up, dirty fuel injectors, and dirty throttle bodies. City driving is especially hard on cars. Fuel filters get plugged causing the pump to labor harder. This creates a domino effect on everything from the spark plugs to the transmission. Waiting doesn't make sense.

Changing your oil regularly is the single most important service you can do for your car, and it's one of the easiest. Oil is produced to conform to the needs of your car; it's the life of the engine. Dirty oil creates leaks, scored bearings and cause over consumption. You can never change it too much but it's recommended at every 3,000 miles. We are up to date on all the needs of your car wether it is a 97 Chevy or a BMW 645ci. Most modern engines require 5W30 or 10W30.

Synthetic Oil

Synthetic oil's advantage is that it withstands higher temperatures. Synthetic oil lasts about twice as long as conventional oil, which lets you travel twice as far between oil changes. However, synthetic oils cost about twice as much. Be careful when using synthetics, if you have an oil leak now, it will be bigger tommorow with synthetics. Synthetic oils have a lower mil thickness and we do not recommend switching to synthetics on older cars.

Synthetics are recommended in extreme hot or cold conditions.

Not all "synthetics" are not created equal. There is a lot of mismarketing and hype. Semisynthetic..Blends…blah blah blah. We at MTA have done our research, and we know what the difference is.

Oils have changed drastically in the last 10 years and the needs of each engine must be considered. We have been to Oil U. and are prepared to meet the latest needs.
